Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and redline contracts and other legal documents with precision and clarity, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and the client’s objectives– these may include partnership agreements, vendor service agreements, endorsement/sponsorship, lease agreements, purchase/sale agreements, licensing agreements, consignment agreements, etc.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various laws and regulations pertinent to client matters across music, real estate, sports, architecture, art, construction, and other creative industries.
• Formulate and process documents for the formation of business entities, including but not limited to corporations, LLCs, and nonprofits. This also includes filing applications with the Secretary of State.
• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients, responding to inquiries and explaining documents in a manner that is both accessible and professional.
• Manage and organize legal documents efficiently using Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.), ensuring easy access and retrieval.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality.
• Develop, implement, and refine systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) to enhance workflow efficiency and comprehension among staff members.
• Handle document management with a keen eye for detail and ensure quick turnaround times for projects, aligning with client expectations and deadlines.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Law Clerk, Paralegal, Legal Secretary, or similar role, with a focus on contract law within the business and entertainment industries.
• Strong foundation in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation, with a thorough understanding of business entity formation processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in professional
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.) and advanced document management capabilities.
• Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Initiative to develop and optimize systems, SOPs, and IOPs for improved workflow and comprehension.
• A degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or experiences may also be considered.
