Inventory Specialist / Product Buyer

Summit Recommerce Group (SRG) is a dynamic and growing resale company dedicated to providing apparel, equipment, and accessories. We operate Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate franchise locations, and our stores buy gently used clothing and accessories for resale in our stores. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Inventory Buyer to assist our New Product manager and store teams. New Product Management: -- Assist with buying budget of approximately $2mm annually by helping receive inventory, negotiate pricing, resolve product quality issues, and source product. -- Help source and value engineer product sourcing for our stores to reduce team time spent in receiving new product. -- Coordinate with new product manager to source inexpensive new products for our stores. -- Look at reports and reorder fast-selling SKUs. A typical task would be to locate a vendor who could white label an item (such as jewelry), putting a price tag and logo on each item, and dropship to our store locations. You would lead in negotiating pricing and quantities and maintain the relationship for future reorders. The right candidate would have expertise to collect data, develop tracking tools, and create and maintain spreadsheets and graphs to assist management in making data-driven decisions. You will be a power user in Excel/Google Sheets. Data will be collected from a variety of sources on a daily and monthly basis. You will use this data to assist management in creating and maintaining performance dashboards on new product for 20+ retail locations. This is a remote position, and the right candidate must excel in self-management. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with Excel/Google Sheets. Demonstrated ability to efficiently extract data from a variety of sources. Experience in product sourcing and cost negotiations Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently. Good written communication skills. Database and control chart experience a plus. Compensation: The compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience and expertise. The pay range for this position is from $800-$1400 USD per month. We are willing to consider fulltime or parttime hours based on the right candidate. Note: This is a remote position, and the successful candidate will need to provide their own equipment and have a stable internet connection.
