I need a long-term Final Cut editor for my YouTube videos.

Hey there! I’m looking for an experienced video editor to help me create 2 videos per week for my Tech YouTube Upgrade to see actual info mindy (Upgrade to see actual info/mintmindy). You can search on yt for mint mindy.

With your help, I can focus more of my time to film the most amount of tech content as possible.

This will be part-time and able to convert to full-time if we work well together. I am looking to build a personal and long-term relationship. It is an ASAP start but I am prepared to wait for the right editor for the channel.

My video editing inspirations include iJustine, Daniel Schiffer, Becki and Chris, Peter Mckinnon and MKBHD.

Here are some more details about the role:

I will provide you with:
- 4K Footage (Multicam Footage)
- Backup Audio
- Script
- Mindy’s B ROLL Library
- Mindy’s Essential Assets - my fav sound effects, color correction presets

What I expect in the finished piece:
- A very Type A Cut: no ‘mmms’, ‘ahhhs’, pauses, such that when you close your eyes and just listen to it, you can hear it like it’s someone talking to you,
- Good use of B Rolls i.e. when I’m trying to talk about a product.
- Good use of jump cuts for multi-cam footage
- Good use of music and sound effect.

Editing principles I live by:
- I want something happening on the screen every 10-15s;
- How to Show rather than Tell
- The more SFX the better, not too cartoony, more realistic;
- Use different music for different chapter, cuz each chapters are different, so they’ll feel different.

My preferences for applicants:
- Editor must be able to speak, write and understand English fluently.
- Editor must use Final Cut Pro, so that I can make any final edits, if necessary.
- Great communication skills:
- Accountable (i.e. able to communicate the time needed for a video project - tell me if more time is needed or not)
- Able to explain why they made a certain creative decision
