JOB OVERVIEW

The Human Resource Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives and providing strategic guidance to leaders across our organization. This role requires a proactive and independent leader who is well-versed in HR practices and is willing to adapt to new HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and LM (Learning Management) systems to streamline employee onboarding processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with management to address employee relations issues, drive talent acquisition efforts, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic partner to management by providing HR guidance and support on various initiatives and decisions.

Lead talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to fill open positions.

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to foster a positive work culture and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, leveraging HRIS and LM systems to streamline and automate workflows.

Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on HR-related topics, including performance management, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations.

Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on issues related to performance, conflict resolution, and career development.

Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict mediation, in accordance with company policies and best practices.

Partner with the HR team to analyze HR metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and updating policies as necessary.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives and drive a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, and HRIS/LM systems.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Hawaii and Louisiana.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to drive HR initiatives and influence change at all levels of the organization.
Experience in a multi-unit organization or hospitality industry preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/LM systems; willingness to learn new systems as needed.
