JOB OVERVIEW

Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Part-time with the potential to go to a full-time independent contractor position that is 100% remote.

Pay is dependent upon experience and time commitment. Anticipated pay starts at $5.00 US per hour, paid every two weeks.

Scope of Work:
We are a growing CPA firm that specializes in all aspects of bookkeeping, accounting, and controllership for nonprofit organizations with operating budgets of $5,000,000 US or less. We are a 100% remote CPA firm.

We require an English-speaking Bookkeeper who will be responsible for the daily bookkeeping and account reconciliation for our clients located in the United States.

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for all your expenses related to computer equipment, internet, and cyber security costs.

We will provide access to software required to perform duties as they relate to the responsibilities below.

Must be available to work from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm EST.

Responsibilities include:
• Recording of customer invoices, cash receipts, vendor bills, disbursements, and credit card transactions from client-provided documentation into the accounting software, generally QBO and/or Upgrade to see actual info

• Ensuring that all transactions’ supporting documentation is attached and/or filed appropriately


• Managing data from QBO integrations such as bank fees, Stripe, Square, customer relations management software, Amazon Business, and/or Upgrade to see actual info

• Setting up new vendors in the accounting records and ensuring Forms W-9 are received

• Recording of payroll transactions from payroll reports of third-party payroll processors

• Reconciling all bank accounts and credit card accounts

• Communicating with clients (verbally and in writing) regularly

• Enter approved budgets into the accounting system

• Preparing annual forms 1099

• Attend regular meetings with the firm teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and clients

Qualifications:
Proficient with English (both written and spoken).

Have 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably with non-profit organizations.

Familiar with the following software applications: QBO, Sage 50, Bloomerang, SalesForce, Stripe, Square, PayPal, Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Last Pass, and Zoom.
