JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for a detail oriented individual with experience with dental claims, dental codes and dental software. Job will be to follow up on outstanding claims, handle appeals, submit claims including the necessary attachments as well as post EFT payments as well as other virtual payments.

HIPPA compliance is a must.

1. What procedure is dental code D1110?

2. If dental code D2740 (a crown) is being billed out, do attachments need to be added to that claim? If yes, what attachments?

3. If dental code D4341 (perio scaling and root planing) is being billed out, do attachments need to be added to that claim? If yes, what attachments?

4. If an office is in-network with an insurance company, the office fee is $80 for an exam, insurance pays the exam at 100% and pays $40. Does a write off need to be made? If yes, how much?

5. If an office is out-of-network with an insurance company, the office fee is $80 for an exam, insurance pays the exam at 100% and pays $40. Does a write off need to be made? If yes, how much?

6. If an office is in-network with an insurance company, and bills out a resin filling. The insurance contracted rate is $100. Insurance downgrades the filling to an amalgam then pays 80%. Do we write down to the amalgam fee or stick to the resin fee?

7. Please list the dental softwares you have used.

8. Please list how long you have worked in the dental insurance field.
