Dental Biller (AR collections) - Work from Home

MedCore Solutions, is currently seeking a Dental Collections Specialist (Dental Biller) to join our team. As a Dental Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely collection of dental payments from insurance providers and patients. You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and following up on outstanding balances. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from home.

At MedCore Solutions, we prioritize accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service. We are looking for an experienced Dental Collections Specialist who has a strong understanding of dental billing, insurance processes, and collections procedures.


Responsibilities

Review and analyze dental insurance claims
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and dental providers to resolve billing and collection issues
Ensure accurate and timely filing of insurance claims and maintain updated records
Identify and resolve any denials, rejections, or discrepancies in billing
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to billing and collections
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental billing guidelines


Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a Dental Collections Specialist or Dental Biller (US healthcare)
Strong understanding of dental billing procedures and insurance processes
Knowledge of dental insurance claims and reimbursement
Experience in handling collections and resolving outstanding balances
Make phone calls to patients (using report generated by employer) with outstanding balances for collection purposes
Understanding of dental insurance claims process and ability to read EOB’s and chart notes in Eaglesoft
Be able to speak to patient balance, using patient account, chart notes and smart docs
Able to create smart invoices and export to email if requested by patient
Write down credit card payment information-including card number, name on credit card, expiration date, CV code and amount to be charged
Amenable to work from home in a graveyard shift
Proficient in Eaglesoft dental software

1st, 2nd or 3rd call
Day/time called
Current balance
Last payment date
Contact made - conversation notes
Payment
When to follow up with another call


Other details:

Start Date: TBD
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Monday - Thursday 6 hours/day; 24 hours/week
Days Off: Friday - Sunday
Location: Work from Home
Duration: Trial period of 1 month with evaluation of progress
Training: At least 2 weeks
