We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Admin / Search Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the stability, performance, and security of our database systems.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Database Admin / Search Engineer at DocNexus, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our database infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, enhance system performance, and contribute to the scalability of our platform. Additionally, you will have expertise in Search and AI technologies, particularly Elastic Search, to provide advanced search capabilities and enhance the user experience. Your responsibilities will include:

Designing, planning, and implementing efficient and secure database structures that support our innovative medical affairs & commercial Upgrade to see actual infostalling, configuring, and maintaining database management systems (DBMS) such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Monitoring database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and optimizing query performance.
Implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Collaborating with development teams to optimize database design, schema, and queries for maximum performance.
Ensuring the security of sensitive data through access controls, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
Planning and executing database upgrades, patches, and migrations to keep the DBMS up to date.
Providing troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise to resolve database-related issues promptly.
Documenting database configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and reference.
Participating in capacity planning and scaling efforts to accommodate the growth of our user base and data volume.
Leveraging your expertise in Search and AI technologies to enhance our platform's search capabilities, particularly with Elastic Search.
Creating integrate advanced search algorithms, natural language processing, and semantic search Upgrade to see actual infosigning and implementing search algorithms, query processing, and indexing strategies to enhance search accuracy and Upgrade to see actual infoveloping and maintaining scalable and robust search infrastructure to support high volumes of data and user interactions.
Building and optimizing search indexes and data structures to ensure efficient retrieval of information.
Implementing natural language processing (NLP) techniques and semantic search capabilities to improve search relevancy.
Analyzing search behavior and user feedback to continuously refine and enhance search algorithms and features.
Enhancing user experiences by optimizing search relevancy, query performance, and recommendation systems.
Staying up to date with the latest developments in database management, search technologies, and AI to contribute innovative solutions.

Qualifications: 3-5 Years for all of the following
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator managing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques.
Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Knowledge of database security measures, encryption, and access controls.
Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.
Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and maintenance tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Expertise in Elastic Search and other search technologies.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Elastic Certified Engineer, AI-related certifications) are a plus.
Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and semantic search techniques.
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or equivalent.
Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset for tackling complex search challenges.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts as applied to search is advantageous.
