Data Engineer (On-Site BGC)

Rate: $8-$9/hr, and earn up to 90,000 PHP +/month.


Schedule:
- Monday Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM PST with a 30-min lunch break, and 2 15-minute breaks


Qualifications:
- Experience developing production-grade ETL pipelines in Python and experience with Data Extraction, Cleaning, and Mining
- Strong comfort implementing Kimball-style architecture in analytical data warehouses, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift and exposure to data orchestrators, such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or Luigi (Airflow preferred)
- Familiarity with planning and executing system expansion as needed to support the company's growth and analytical needs
- Belief in writing documentation as part of writing code
- Excellent written communication that will enable async work
- Clear communicator who can gather technical requirements and explain technical intricacies
- Desire to continually keep up with advancements in data engineering practices
- Experience implementing a DataOps framework
- Experience implementing Python best practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD in a data engineering/ops setting
- RESTful API development experience
- Experience in the Google Suite of the data ecosystem, especially Google Cloud Data proc or Apache Beam
- An appetite for learning and passion for the role of data in helping solve complex questions
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills
- Experience working at, or a strong understanding of SaaS startups is helpful

- Design and build pipelines that will support key analytical and business intelligence functions.
- Help enable decision-making around user-facing features.
- Empower your fellow teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to experiment with and develop on top of our data.
- You’ll be a driving influencer on the use and application of analysis; deliver what’s needed, and show what’s possible. In your analysis, you’ll use multiple data sources to discover what is going well for our customers, where we can improve, and what to build next.
- Helping to evolve and scale our data platform, with an eye towards growth
- Working closely with the analytics and business intelligence teams, as well as other stakeholders from finance, sales, marketing, and product, to understand the data needs of the business and produce processes that enable a better product and support growth decision-making
- Generating architecture recommendations and the ability to implement them
- Creating smaller issues and code changes by collaborating with stakeholders to reduce the scope and focus on iteration
- Improving, managing, and teaching standards for code maintainability and performance in code submitted and reviewed
- Shipping medium to large features independently
- Helping evolve our CI/CD strategy for our ETL jobs and pipelines
