Data Analyst (Finance)

We are Upgrade to see actual info - the leading source for financial calendar reference data. Our company collects information about when financial markets are open around the world. Data is primarily collected from the exchange website, technical documentation, and emailing the exchange directly.

Opportunity:

We are growing our team and looking to hire a full-time researcher. This is a monthly contract position. If you do well, this position will become permanent.

Benefits:

Pay starts atUpgrade to see actual infoUSD per month (depending upon experience) plus 13th month pay plus annual bonuses. You have off for all public holidays in your country. 1 month paid maternity/paternity leave available after 1 year.

Work independently and asynchronously. Hours are flexible as long as you work 40 hours per week. Must be responsive during regular working hours and early US times. The most important factor is the quality and accuracy of your work. We have a rigorous system to verify your throughput and data accuracy without micromanaging.

Required skills:

- Extremely detail oriented. In the past, our best candidates are accountants and bookkeepers.
- Good online research skills. You know how to find ANYTHING online.
- Organized. You do not let anything fall through the cracks.
- Able to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately. Comfortable in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent written communication skills. You are able to express complicated ideas concisely. You should have 100% correct American English grammar and spelling in all communications.
- Experience in the capital markets space is beneficial but not strictly required.

Responsibilities:

- Your job will be to research financial markets, understand their trading schedules which can be quite complicated around holidays, and input that data into our spreadsheets
- Verify past and future data in our database
- Document processes you perform. Everything we do is SOP-driven.
