Job Description:
We’re looking for a Custom Development Specialist to design and implement a comprehensive system that integrates with our Squarespace website. This system will enable student logins, class sign-ups, attendance tracking, and performance invitations. This is a commitment of up to 40 hours per week, until project completion, deadline for completing the project is July 1st, 2024.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a custom backend system for student logins, class sign-ups, attendance tracking, and performance invitations.
- Integrate the custom system with our existing Squarespace website.
- Create and maintain user-friendly interfaces for students and teachers.
- Ensure data accuracy and security across the platform.
- Collaborate with the production and administration team to align the system with our operational needs.
- Handle other ad hoc development tasks as needed.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in web development and custom backend systems.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as JavaScript (Node.js), Python, Ruby, or PHP.
- Familiarity with Squarespace and its integration capabilities.
- Experience with API development and integration.
- Strong understanding of databases (e.g., Firebase, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in creating user-friendly interfaces and ensuring data security.
