Content Editor

We are a small, Hawaii-based team that works with small restaurant business clients in the United States. We’re looking for a quick and highly-competent social media content editor who can confidently edit both static image and short-form video content to help share the stories and dishes behind these great small businesses. Our goal with each client is to bolster their digital marketing, build up their social media presence, and increase their total sales.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Converse easily and quickly via email with Hawaii-based team
- May need to be available occasionally for a call and/or video conference on Hawaii-Standard Time (HST) business hours
- Download photo, video, and brand vector files related to content creation from cloud storage
- Edit static images for social media posts, including but not limited to:
---- Food and restaurant photos
---- Flyers for specials and/or holidays
---- Closure notices
- Edit 15-30 second short-form video content using trending audio, appropriate transitions, and relevant graphics and stock content (e.g. Upgrade to see actual infos, gifs, stickers, etc.) to improve watchability
- Add logo and/or branding elements to each image or video, as needed
- Adhere to client brand and logo usage guidelines, if provided
- Export and upload photos and videos at common Facebook and - Instagram content sizes and resolutions
- May occasionally need to upload high-resolution images and/or high-fidelity video files
- Revise/re-edit images and/or videos as requested by Hawaii team and client (once a month)
- Meet monthly editing and revision deadlines, roughly to follow a 2-week to 3-week editing and 1-week revision schedule

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Consistent and reliable access to high-speed internet required
- Strong experience with photo editing software required (e.g. Adobe Photoshop or Express, Canva, PicMonkey, or other similar softwares)
- Strong experience with video editing software required (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro or Premiere Rush, iMovie, CapCut, InShot, or other similar softwares)
- Experience with Asana or similar task management system preferred
- Competence with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
- Works well independently
- Takes direction(s) well when given
- Prefer someone who has a personal Instagram account and understands the content environment
