Computer Familiar Virtual Assistant

my name is Johannes and I am looking for a Virtual Assistant. Firstly I will write the requirements for this job and then give you a few examples so that you can get an idea of whether you are a good fit for me.

The most important thing is that you have a good logical understanding of computer tasks.

That's what I mean by that: I've been known to open an unfamiliar website. Then I need a few minutes to familiarise myself with it. At first glance, everything seems overwhelming, so many functions, etc. But then I look around, click here, click there. And because I grew up with this new technology, I find my way around relatively quickly.

If it's the same for you, then keep going! :)

I come from Germany, which means that my main & working language is not English, but German. That's not a bad thing at all, because nowadays there are very good tools, like DeepL, with which you can write emails for me in German, or you can display complete websites in English with a Chrome addon.

Again, I appreciate it when you are just "smart" and quickly understand how something works.

The most important thing is that you are open to learning. That you keep at it, that you ask me if something is unclear. My philosophy is that I'd rather you make a mistake than try to do nothing wrong and end up doing nothing at all.


Now I'll tell you a few tasks that you're going to do for me.

One task is that you will monitor my mailbox and, after some training, reply to emails yourself and remind me of emails.

I'll also be in contact with you via WhatsApp to tell you directly about things that come to mind.

I work with programmers and often send them feedback in spreadsheets. I currently still do this myself. I imagine that we meet, for example, I tell you the feedback and you write it for me in the table, nicely worked up, incl. screenshots and so on.

You have to know that when I'm working, I'm a professional. So everything has to be very precise. I know that you have to understand my way of working at the beginning, but I still expect you to give 100% right from the start and do it as perfectly as possible.

I'll soon be taking on a new task, which involves providing technical support for a platform. These are questions like "I can't log in", "where can I reset my password", etc. (you should be able to come up with the answers yourself and find solutions to new problems)

I also appreciate it when you can manage my appointments.

Over time, I'll also be doing more complex tasks on the PC that I normally do, but which I'll hand over to you. You don't have to be able to do it yet, but the important thing is that 1) you are competent with computers and 2) you are willing to learn and motivated and 3) you are also a problem solver.
