JOB OVERVIEW

Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the port and drayage sector
Generate leads, initiate sales calls, and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders including shipping lines, logistics providers, freight forwarders, and port authorities
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact the port and drayage business
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business growth targets
Collaborate with the management team to define sales objectives, set realistic targets, and create sales forecasts
Regularly review and adjust strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their requirements, provide product information, address inquiries, and offer tailored solutions
Continuously engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with customers to secure profitable contracts
Collaborate with the legal team to review and finalize agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of customer contracts
