JOB OVERVIEW

The Bookkeeping Virtual Assistant will be responsible for managing the financial records and accounting tasks for the small lawn maintenance company. This includes:

- Maintaining and updating the company's QuickBooks Online account, including:
- Recording daily sales, invoices, and payments received
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Generating financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Preparing and sending customer invoices in a timely manner
- Tracking and following up on outstanding customer payments
- Processing vendor bills and ensuring they are paid on time
- Assisting with sales tax filing and other government reporting requirements
- Providing the owner with regular financial updates and insights to support strategic decision-making
- Liaising with the company's accountant during tax season and other financial audits
- Maintaining organized digital and physical records of all financial documents

The ideal candidate will have:

- 2+ years of experience as a bookkeeper or virtual assistant, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and proactively manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of small business accounting principles and best practices

This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours. The Bookkeeping Virtual Assistant will report directly to the business owner and work closely with the lawn maintenance team to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
