Position Description:
We are opening a senior bookkeeping position for a highly technical individual with a self-starter mentality that thrives in fast-paced environments.

We’re looking for a teaUpgrade to see actual infomber that is committed to a long term, full time role of 40+ hours/week that wants to build a fruitful career in accounting and bookkeeping!

You will be assisting our in-house (North American) onboarding managers with historical clean up and onboarding of new merchant accounts.

Once a new merchant is onboarded, you will be the sole representative of their books and responsible for the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts on daily transactions, financial entries and reconciliations.

On average, a senior bookkeeper handles 5 accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

•Monthly bank reconciliation
•Daily posting of new bank feed transactions
•Creating rules for recurring transactions
•Creating and reclassifying new chart-of-accounts
•Processing accounts payable & accounts receivable
•Creating journal entries for loan principal versus interest expenses
•Creating journal entries to zero out clearing accounts and balancing sales / transaction fees
•Fact-checking accounting data & financial summaries
•Managing inventory assets and COGs
•Perform flawless and GAAP compliant month end closing procedures
•Perform weekly audits to reconcile e-commerce activities
•Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
•Provide month-end data to operating accounting staff for financial reporting. Be able to communicate financial results to operating staff and leadership as requested.
•Serve as a point-on-contact to merchants and their customer success manager
•Assignment and management of at least 5 Ottit merchants


Qualifications:

•Degree of Accountancy, Business Administration Major in Management Accounting, or related degree
•At least 3 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting firm experience
•QBO ProAdvisor certification
•Excellent English - both written and verbal
•Willingness to work Pacific Standard Time (PST), Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM PST


*Big 4 accounting firm (KPMG, EY, PWC, Deloitte) experience is a MAJOR plus
