Backend/Full Stack Software Engineer

We are looking for a Backend/Full Stack Software Engineer for a wellness & beauty livestream mobile iOS platform. We have a dev team of React Native developers who will be managing and coding. We are an inclusive, passionate, lean, agile startup looking for fun, intelligent, hardworking and committed people to join our team.

Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science or the equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities:
• Work with mobile team to design and implement features
• Build and maintain HTTP APIs
• Participate in the definition of new mobile features and experiences
• Fix bugs and improve performance
• Requirements
• Node.js
• MongoDB
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• AWS (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk)
• Source Code Control (Subversion, Git)

Preferred skills and experience:
• Deep familiarity with software engineering best practices
• Mobile iOS app development
• Functional programming
• Deep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment & continuous monitoring
• Great critical thinking, troubleshooting and strong problem-solving skills
• Initiative and the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
• Ability to work with little direction, self-starter and self-motivate
• Familiar with a variety of the computer field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Excellent documentation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be independent and self-motivated with strong analytical skills
