Job Summary:


We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Solar Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy and a strong desire to contribute to a sustainable future. As a Solar Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new leads, conducting sales presentations, and closing deals with residential customers.


Responsibilities:
* Utilize various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals, to reach out to leads.
* Conduct comprehensive consultations with potential clients to grasp their energy requirements and enlighten them about the advantages of solar energy and our offerings.
* Customize and deliver compelling sales presentations to address the unique needs and preferences of each prospect.
* Foster and maintain strong rapport with clients, offering continual assistance and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
* Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure seamless and punctual installation of solar systems.
* Stay abreast of industry developments, product information, and effectively articulate the value proposition of solar energy to clients.
* Consistently surpass sales targets and quotas.
* Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, sales endeavors, and pipeline management using CRM software.
* Employ a Virtual Assistant (VA) to qualify leads, verify details, and schedule appointments if satellite imagery is insufficient or for multi-unit complexes. The VA will then document findings in a centralized spreadsheet with comprehensive details.
* Collaborate with clients to produce quotes and reports, with the VA's assistance, and provide the VA with a pricing list for reference.
* Engage a VA as an appointment setter to follow up on submissions and document any technical inquiries from clients in the same spreadsheet for further action.
* Utilize the VA's support for job coordination and certain aspects of project management.


Requirements:

- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical systems and components, particularly related to solar energy installations, to effectively communicate with clients and address technical inquiries.
- Solar Industry Familiarity: Basic understanding of solar energy principles, including photovoltaic technology and system components, to engage with clients and discuss solar solutions confidently.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Excellent communication and skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and battery storage solutions, is preferred.
- Familiarity with local and state regulations related to solar energy is a plus.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
