Amazon Europe Specialist - Accounting Manager , VAT/importation law/Europe/UK

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all accounting-related matters within our Amazon Europe operations.
Possess a high level of accounting knowledge, particularly in relation to European regulations and UK accounting practices.
Expertise in VAT rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with external accountants to manage VAT payments and maintain adherence to VAT regulations.
Oversee importation of products into Europe, including knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
Stay up to date with changes in European accounting and tax regulations, providing recommendations for compliance.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of accounting practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an accounting manager or similar role.
Extensive knowledge of European accounting regulations and UK accounting practices.
Expertise in VAT rules and regulations, with experience in managing VAT payments and compliance.
Strong understanding of importation processes and customs laws.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
