Job Title: Accountant II

Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of our finance department. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and ensure timely payment to vendors. Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, collaborating with department managers to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
• Tax Compliance: Assist with tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of corporate income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
• Audit Support: Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department, implementing best practices and streamlining workflows where appropriate.
• Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, contributing financial expertise and analytical support to cross-functional teams.
