API Integration Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled API Integration Developer to join our team and work closely with Dillon Gage's API suite. This role is critical in enabling seamless integration with Dillon Gage's APIs, which provide access to essential data such as spot pricing, products, product pricing, order execution, and more. The ideal candidate should have expertise in developing JSON-based REST APIs and a strong understanding of web development.

Key Responsibilities:
API Integration: Collaborate with Dillon Gage's API suite to enable data integration with our systems.
Develop and Maintain APIs: Create, maintain, and optimize JSON-based REST APIs for retrieving and transmitting data.
Data Management: Manage data flow and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of data exchanged with Dillon Gage's APIs.
Testing: Conduct thorough testing of APIs to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for API integration procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and successful API integration.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve API-related issues in a timely manner.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize API performance and response times.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in developing and integrating JSON-based REST APIs.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
Strong understanding of web development technologies and best practices.
Experience with API security and authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, API keys).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have:
Previous experience in the financial or e-commerce industry.
Familiarity with Dillon Gage's API suite or similar financial data APIs.
Knowledge of data transformation and ETL processes.
