Experienced Medical/Dental Virtual Scribe

A Medical/Dental Virtual Scribe specializes in taking information about the patient in the presence of the physician during a live or recorded medical consultation and examination.

Responsibilities:

Accurately & thoroughly document medical visits and procedures performed by the Physician/Nurse practitioner
Capturing and transcribing consultations (in SOAP format and physician-preferred formats), diagnostic test results, notes from other providers, and patient management plan/health teaching
Create and send laboratory or imaging orders through different platforms and follow up on results accordingly
Verify prescriptions and initiate prior authorizations as necessary
Review and prepares medical charts before and after the consultation
Documenting completed procedures and ensuring medical record compliance through self-attestation documentation
Providing administrative support duties which include but are not limited to data entry, appointment scheduling, email management, and record management
Establishing a professional relationship with medical professionals and patients by acting as a primary liaison between patients and providers
Strictly adhering and complying with the HIPAA policy


Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Graduate of any allied 4-year medical course (RN is a plus).
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Scribe for a US-based healthcare provider
Typing Speed of at least 60WPM
Strong knowledge in medical terminologies
Experience in using and navigating an EMR/s
Intermediate skills with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
Excellent time management
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Computer savvy
