JOB OVERVIEW

Our bankruptcy and personal injury law firm is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The Paralegal will work under the direction of our attorneys and attorney's assistant and will be responsible for filling and filing legal documents, maintaining case files, and providing administrative support to our legal team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file legal documents, including bankruptcy and personal injury pleadings, motions, and other court documents
Organize and maintain case files, including client correspondence and legal documents
Conduct legal research using various online and offline resources
Draft legal correspondence, including letters and emails to clients, opposing counsel, and court officials
Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting discovery requests and preparing exhibits for trial
Attend meetings and conferences with clients and court officials as needed
Maintain the calendar of court deadlines, hearings, and filings
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the attorneys and attorney's assistant

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
2+ years of experience working as a paralegal in a bankruptcy and/or personal injury law firm
Knowledge of bankruptcy and personal injury law and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
