Job Overview Sr. Loan Coordinator

Responsibilities for Sr. Loan Coordinator
The Sr. LC will be working closely with the owner and Operations Team to ensure the organization of loan files from start to finish.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing the loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners. Keeping all parties to the transaction informed and on schedule throughout the process.
• Accurate proficiency of all data entry for various software programs
• Quick analysis of documents notating any red flags or possible issues and following up consistently with clients on said concerns to obtain answers while reporting back to the Owner & fellow Teammates
• Creating/ e-mailing “Wash Lists” with continuous follow-up on receipt of needed documentation for file creation & updating throughout the entire process
• Promptly respond to all borrower communication providing accurate information and relaying back to The Team with timely updates on status of each file
• Analyzes personal, business, K1, and corporate tax returns, as well as profit and loss statements, and supporting income documentation, income calculation worksheet completion assuring accurate income calculations which align with GSE Guidelines
• Orders WVOE’s same day as start of file and following up daily for receipt of WVOE (written verification of employment)
• Knowledgeable in the calculation of rental income, asset income, and ensures the required income documentation requirements for the file have been met
• Analyze the required supporting documentation from borrowers always staying one step ahead of potential concerns & red flags
• Orders and reviews credit reports, appraisals, title reports, condo docs, etc. to following up for quick receipt & reviewing all documentation for concerns or further needs
• Submit credit packages to various automated underwriting systems for approval
• Submit file to Operations & Owner for review and further instruction
• Timely meet loan conditions to ensure a quick closing
• Provide administrative support managing various client databases (CRM/POS/LOS)
• Contact expired and PreApproved clients to gather necessary documentation to update PreApproval documentation and/or letters
• Keep up to date with company-approved programs and software systems
• Ensures all files are in full compliance with MDIA, CFPB and TRID regulations
• Understands and complies with requirements of applicable federal and state laws and regulations ensuring production flow comply with all regulations
• Provide loan status to customers and agents each week
• Contact customer prior to closing to confirm funds required to close, closing date/time/location and answer any additional questions
• Suggest ways to improve service levels throughout entire process
• Conduct post-closing calls to customers and referral sources to obtain feedback on our service and ask for referrals
• Increase the percentage of Customer Satisfaction surveys completed from 20% to 70%
• Submit recommendations for improvement based on customer feedback

Qualifications for Sr. Loan Coordinator

o Ability to manage multiple priorities, strong detail orientation, and highly organized
o Strong negotiation and time management skills displaying the ability to work with a powerful sense of urgency and responsiveness
o Ability to continue developing knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines as they continuously evolve
o Deep knowledge of direct/indirect lending products and practices
o Excellent analytical review of the overall credit package, having the ability to think ahead should we need to switch gears to “plan B”
o Must show the ability to handle complex files with ease and efficiency
o Adheres to shift requirements consistently
o Actively seeks to continuously develop self to next level of success
o Has excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and is clear and concise when speaking with customers
o Continually meets and/or exceeds the KPI’s set by management for productivity

Education:
Associate degree or equivalent is a bonus but not a requirement. NMLS Licensing is preferred but not required

Experience:
A minimum of two years previous FNMA/FHLMC Processing/LC experience. Loan Coordinator, mortgage processing, loan officer assistant or equivalent experience is required. Knowledge of industry rules & regulations is required.
