Events Manager, Life Sciences

Xybion is looking for an Event Manager with expertise in any of the following areas: pharmaceuticals, life sciences, preclinical research, and development, to oversee and organize both virtual and in-person webinars and events. The right candidate will have the capacity to manage the overall coordination and execution of the entire program/event from an operational perspective, such as writing scripts surrounding laboratories, pharmaceutical industry, biopharma, or preclinical research, being the voice of the company as a key presenter in virtual webinars with a strong educational and/or professional background in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or new drug research and development.
The Events Manager will manage the production of virtual webinars from beginning to end, report the KPIs, and results. This ranges from setting up the registration page, writing the welcome script, producing the live webinar, and managing a 12 month events calendar. They will work closely with our marketing team to ensure the success of every virtual event, webinar, and in-person event.
Responsibilities
• Plan in-person and virtual events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives
• Perform market research
• Create and coordinate delivery of event marketing email campaigns and social media promotions.
• Provide suggestions to enhance the event’s success
• Prepare purchase requisitions for all event requirements
• Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
• Writing event promotional materials.
• Lead promotional activities for all events
• Analyze event success and prepare reports
• Travels onsite to lead the team in the overall management of all logistical phases of scheduled events.
• Provide appropriate briefing and direction to on-site and virtual execution staff
• Determine any potential compliance issues and deal with them or escalate them as necessary.
Requirements
• Immaculate written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in any of the following areas: pharmaceuticals, life sciences, laboratories, preclinical research, and development
• Organized, creative, and efficient
• Skilled in event or project management
• 2 years of laboratory experience as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Supervisor, or Lab Manager, or equivalent.
• Preclinical, pharmaceutical, or diagnostic laboratory experience preferred.
