Description
Comer Technology Group (CTG) - Upgrade to see actual info - is an MSP consulting firm working with the ConnectWise and Datto product suites. We leverage best practices, security and innovation to help our MSP partners utilize and implement their management tools efficiently. Our goal is to focus on the task of managing and improving on these tools to improve the MSPs practices so that they may focus on their clients.
Position
ConnectWise Automate or Datto RMM Engineer
Requirements
• Recent hands-on experience with ConnectWise Automate or Datto RMM (experience with other RMM also acceptable)
• Experience configuring and managing monitors, scripts, and alerts
• Detail and note-oriented for ticket and time entry documentation and customer communication
• Team player, focusing on the bigger picture
Required Experience
• ConnectWise Automate Administration or Datto RMM Administration (Expert or Professional Certificate preferred). Other RMMs will suffice
• SQL Query experience
• Windows best practices with automation and software deployment
• PSA Experience (ConnectWise Manage or Autotask PSA)
• Windows Patching and Patch Troubleshooting
• PowerShell, Bash, SQL Query
Responsibilities & Expectations
As a ConnectWise Automate or Datto RMM Engineer, you will be expected to perform the following:
• Review client requests and needs to help develop scripts, monitors, queries, etc.
• Migrate Automate servers and infrastructure on client request
• Troubleshoot ConnectWise Automate infrastructure – MYSQL, Log Files, Windows Events, etc.
• Troubleshoot Datto RMM/ConnectWise Automate agent communication
• Automate Patching and Upgrades
• Patch Management configuration – Patch approval/denial and deployment
• Provide clients with detail-oriented updates to their request
• Utilize best practices for new client onboarding
• Provide information to help improve documentation
• Utilize PowerShell (required at a minimum), Automate script engine (would be nice), python (not necessary, but would be nice), and other relevant scripting languages.
• Provide recommendations (internally and to clients) on improvements and recommendations
• Collaborate with team and clients
• Deploy and maintain official ConnectWise Automate and/or Third-Party Plugins and Datto RMM components and plugins
• Communicate with third party vendors for bug reporting or higher tier support and escalation
• Utilize PSA to maintain detailed daily time log, team collaboration and detailed client updates.
