Summary:
Jamii Technology solves clients’ toughest challenges by providing unmatched services in strategy, consulting, digital, and
software development. We’re a distributed team with roots in San Jose, CA. We’re looking for a passionate, collaborative,
focused development operations manager to join our growing team. We need this person to be versatile, display leadership
qualities, and be enthusiastic to take on new problems as we continue to push technology forward. Our ideal hire has a desire to
develop and enhance their skills and experience, working across diverse teams, projects, and Upgrade to see actual info this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and
business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Our team works closely with
creatives, prolific engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop the technology. We're responsible for guiding
products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our
solutions to our users and clients.

Responsibilities:
?Identifies assesses and solves complex business and IT problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an
in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and apply DevOps solutions to enable client success.
?Work closely and follow the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near-term goals.
?Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Jamii Technology on matters where they may need to gain
acceptance on an alternate approach.
?Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
?Decisions have a major day-to-day impact on the area of responsibility.
?Manages large - medium-sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Jamii
Technology.
?Driving client DevOps capability assessments and providing industry subject matter expertise Defining DevOps
capability transformation strategy and roadmaps.
?Facilitate DevOps discussions throughout the lifecycle of client engagements
?Designing and directing all aspects of Continuous Delivery implementation on Jamii Technology IT systems build or
application support projects.
?Own and drive the strategic roadmap for our Tools & Infrastructure team.
?Enable rapid development through robust Continuous Integration and Deployment
?Script / automate core processes to improve efficiency as well as platform availability.
?Empower developers to be more self-reliant by building highly reliable and scalable tools and automation.
?Manage configuration deployment and deployment tools.
?Partner with other teams to share tools and expertise, and create effective solutions.
6-Month Accomplishments
?Understand the complex dev automation stack, dev enviornment and derive the plan to make it more reliable.
?Reduce the number of issues that a developer can face in the dev environment and the CI by improving the resiliency
and reliability of the systems.
?Improve the ownership of all the functional areas owned by the Tools & Infrastructure team.
12+ Month Accomplishments
?Create a process and framework to test the reliability and resilience of the systems.
?Define and execute a strategic roadmap for scaling the dev stack.
?Hire and mentor a best-in-class global DevOps team.

Basic Qualifications:
?Minimum 5 years of experience in managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure
development and administration
?Minimum of 5 years of design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture
patterns.
?Minimum of 5 years experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous
integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Jenkins, Cloud Native DevOps (Azure
DevOps), Git, Puppet, Terraform, Maven, UrbanCode, and Docker
?Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of the
software
?Minimum of 5 years experience with managing large teams including progress monitoring and reporting
?Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
?Minimum of 1 year of experience working on a Cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar)
?Minimum of 3 years' experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby,
Bash, or Python

Preferred Skills:
?Candidate should have experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, working in a fast-paced, high-velocity agile
environment
?The candidate should have past experience supporting code released a month (10+)
?Active organizer and speaker at DevOps social networking and industry practitioner events
?Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA.
?Defining and managing the roadmap for implementation of DevOps in an established operation.
?Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern
development tools.
?Experience in technical architecture – i.e. the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients
?Experience using and/or implementing tools like Veracode, Fortify, Black Duck, AppScan enterprise, WebInspect or
comparable tool
?Ability to solve operational issues through engineering automated solutions.
?2+ years of experience in leading, and mentoring highly skilled engineers.
?Experience with cloud platforms, like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar.
?Excellent knowledge of Unix.
?Strong scripting/Automating skills using any of the following languages: python, ruby, etc.
?Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, configuration management with Ansible or
Puppet, and Terraform.
?Preferred experience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes, and EKS.
?Experience with build/release (CI/CD) pipelines and methodologies (Jenkins, etc).
?Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, or SVN)
