We are on the hunt for a skilled mobile developer that can help our business grow exponentially in the digital world. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and maintenance of application/s and integration with back-end services. We offer competitive rates in US dollars and flexibility of time as this job will be fully remote.

Responsibilities

Design and build applications for either Android or iOS.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Able to attend all TeaUpgrade to see actual infoetings and facilitate if necessary
Competencies

Proficient with Objective-C or Swift, and Cocoa Touch
Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is a plus
Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Knack for benchmarking and optimization
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN)
Familiarity with continuous integration
Comfortable working in a *nix terminal (BSD, GNU/Linux, and/or macOS) a plus
Familiarity with version control best practices and workflows, particularly git and bitbucket
Familiarity with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
Familiarity with agile methodology

Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or C++.
Ability to use the Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease.
Prior experience as an Android Developer will be advantageous.

Requirements

Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Must have great english communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge of Agile Methodology
1-3 years experience as an iOS developer
1-2 years of experience using: Git, GitLab/Bitbucket/Github
Experience with AWS or Serverless is highly desirable
