JOB OVERVIEW

WHO WE ARE
Skyrocket Marketing is an agency built on the foundations of hard-work, a passion for tech & numbers-driven solutions and a whole lotta excitement for helping people build their stores.

Our team is built from the ground up with smart, savvy tech wizards and crazy talented wordsmiths. We're driven to make a difference in eCommerce owners lives by giving the understanding, tools and tech solutions to help their business thrive and grow sustainably.

We offer whitelabel custom WordPress development to larger media agencies and CRO and SEO to direct eCommerce clients on both WordPress and Shopify.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an exceptionally logical thinker who can break down complex problems into simple steps to resolve issues. You are a problem solver that looks for answers and solutions; you never let a problem sit around unfinished.

While others consider CSS to be a simple language, you see it as a complex puzzle with infinite possibilities. You geek out on different frameworks, extending them to meet your needs or potentially crafting your own. You see patterns in the code you write and are constantly looking for ways that you can drive efficiencies and reduce bugs between projects.

You can get lost in the joy of finding solutions to problems in code, but you are also aware of the bigger picture of needing to deliver on time, working across multiple projects within the span of a week from small fixes to larger projects. You have the grit to see a project through to completion, applying the same level of energy and attention to detail right to the end.

This person will be a team player, working with other developers (more senior and junior) to deliver projects as well as working to improve our development practice within the team.

You are a communicator and like to explain what is going on with code, what’s gone wrong and what was done to fix it. You’re also not afraid to jump into a project that you haven’t worked on before and read through the code to understand what is happening.

While you don’t consider yourself a designer, you understand design theory and can fill in the design gaps (whoops the designer forgot to provide that tablet layout) when needed maintaining the integrity of the design.

This position is permanent, full-time and a remote working opportunity. You will need to have your own internet connection, computer and appropriate work space. The hours are 8:30am - 5pm (Sydney Time).
