Senior Accountant / QuickBooks Bookkeeper / CPA for a US-based CPA Firm

We are a small CPA firm based in New York City providing accounting and tax services to small business clients. You will have the chance to work closely with a CPA who has over 16 years of experience in accounting and tax. This is a full-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Record and categorize all transactions in QuickBooks Online
Reconcile general ledger, journal entries, and bank statements on a monthly basis
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
Prepare annual budget forecasts
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ad-hoc projects


REQUIREMENTS:
Have at least 3 years of experience working as an accountant (preferably in an accounting firm)
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Must have strong experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
BS in Accounting
CPA certification is a plus
U.S. tax return preparation experience is a huge plus

SCHEDULE: Preferably 5am-2pm (8 work hours and 1 hour break) Eastern Standard Time, Monday to Friday. We fully understand the time zone difference so we are flexible on this for the right candidate.
