You'll be planning, architecting and building high performance, accessible websites for some of the best organisations in Australia.

This role would suit someone that has commercial experience as a web developer, ideally in multiple platforms, including WordPress. You'll be working with a team of other 3 developers in a remote environment and report to our Tech Upgrade to see actual infot negotiable:

Your daily tasks would include
???? Front and Back end development, including custom themes and custom plugins (60% work)
???? Support tasks, small website improvements (20%)
???? Work with API integrations (10%)
???? Project management, tasks estimations, discovery (10%)

Responsibilities
- Perform monthly support requests from clients (through the support ticket centre)
- Develop custom WordPress themes for new client projects.
- Develop and manage custom and complex WordPress-based solutions.
- Create or customize plugin features to client websites (WordPress)
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS.
- Work to resolve issues related to WordPress websites and client hosting
- Assist in maintaining client’s website speed performance and security.
- Providing coaching and leadership to other members of the team on processes and best practices.
- Helping to create a scalable development process.

You should have 3+ years of web development, both front and back end, specifically with WordPress and WooCommerce.

The Developer will work with our project manager and lead developer to help design and implement high-performance, accessible products and experiences.

You should be comfortable using some internal communication tools such as Clickup, Google Drive, Zoom, and Slack for team meetings and to support other team members with any technical request.

You should have strong communication skills, also be confident enough to push back on the leadership team and express your opinion if you think the ship is heading off course. We encourage that.

? PHP and Object-Oriented languages
? HTML 5, CSS, SASS, JS / Library
? SSH Experience
? GIT (including branching), Version control and local environment setup
? Responsive Interface design
? Cross-browser compatibility issue resolution


A bonus if you also have (all or any of those points):

???? Experience with Drupal, Joomla or other CMS
???? Headless CMS experience (Vue, Gridsome etc)
???? Woo-Commerce experience

Employment Type
We are looking for a full-time remote employee, able to work from 10am - 6pm AEST timezone.
