We are looking for a freelance Payroll Specialist who has excellent verbal and writing skills and can multitask, has strong organizational and interpersonal skills, pays attention to detail, and works under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of HR payroll, timekeeping principles and best practices, regulations, as well as practical experience with HRIS/HRM. Previous BPO experience is a plus.

We are looking for someone with experience who can roll up their sleeves and manage the day to day needs of our 70+ staff Upgrade to see actual inforvice Hours are USA / Pacific Standard Time:
Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM - 12:00 MN PST


Requirements:
-At least 3-4 years of general HR payroll and timekeeping experience
-With background in HR functions especially timekeeping, payroll, generalist and paper works
-Will be responsible for end to end process of payroll functions
-Experience with payroll and benefits processing
-Basic / working knowledge of labor laws
-Experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS is a plus
-Excellent admin and organizational skills
-Degree in Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance or relevant field
-Experience with (any) project management tool
-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
-Familiar in Google Office Suite
-Responsive and communicative, especially regarding project progress
-Self-motivated team player, able to set priorities and manage deadlines
-Have had experience in the creative production process

Responsibilities:
-Coordinate with external payroll vendors, internal stakeholders, employees, contractors/consultants and manage the daily service operations. Work with HR leadership to ensure effective payroll operations, fair and consistent administration of adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining and improving service levels. Work with HR leadership to ensure sufficient staffing and a balanced workload.
-Checking and auditing of payroll reports, ensuring legislative & Internal Controls compliance (tax compliance, statutory benefits, etc.). Validates accuracy of data (i.e. Attendance, Time Off Availment, Employee Movement, Promotions, Bonuses, Incentives, Allowances, Etc) versus HR system information.
-Address payroll concerns received from management, people managers, employees and contractors/consultants in order to ensure proper and timely resolution of concerns.
-Along with HR Management and Finance, will be responsible for timely payment of salaries, statutory premiums, retirement contributions, and income taxes. Ensure timely submission of relevant financial reports, required government reports (i.e. journal entries, statutory premium payment, debit notes etc.)
-In coordination with HR management, supports efforts for continuous improvement and standardization of payroll operations and systems. With other HR members, supports efforts to ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect current employee base, including wages, benefits, leaves in line with contracts and agreements.
-Reconciles monthly invoices from HR vendors and processes for payment.
-Participate in investigations into payroll-related employee complaints and recommend solutions and corrective actions per company policies.
-Respond to management and employee questions on payroll-related matters in a timely manner.
-Works with management to ensure timely and accurate compliance with all employee and employment related company policies, procedures and related government regulations and guidelines.
-Follows established policies, procedures, guidelines, instructions/techniques, safety practices.
-Responds to external inquiries such as employment verifications and unemployment claims.

-Available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls/meetings/chats during weekdays working
