*About Us:
ELSA is a Google-funded app and one of the leading AI-powered English speaking apps with millions of users globally, and is designed to evaluate and give feedback on users' English pronunciation, fluency and other speaking skills. ELSA is founded in San Francisco with staff members based in 5 different continents and more than a dozen countries in a fully distributed workplace environment. ELSA is backed by a number of prominent venture capital firms, including Gradient Ventures (Google AI).

*Responsibilities:
1. Determines the Positioning of community group (ELSA Study Clubs), this includes:
- Who: Defining target audience (Who benefits) and different segments of the various groups
- What: Determining what will be offered within the different Study Clubs - e.g. services, online activities/competitions, weekly webinars etc
- How Long: Planning for the duration/lifecycle of community group

2. Ensures community groups deliver value through these THREE core drivers:
- Useful (delivering inherent value within certain timeframe)
- Interesting (provokes user interaction with our experts and one another)
- Scarcity (internal content on the ELSA app that is not readily available elsewhere)

3. Specializing in not just community, but also online events and PGC/UGC content operations:
- Online Event execution - Through carrying out solid event plans, ultimately redirect our users back to our app and keep them engaged
- Content management - Ability to curate content, synthesize our in-app content into snippets and create persuasive content that keep users interested
- User and Data management: Create tailored user-interaction plans for our reps (interns and volunteers) to execute within their sub-communities, conduct comprehensive segmentation and user profiling and followup on impactful data analytics

4. Solves user pain points:
- Gains user approval by creating other types of benefits that they can enjoy within our community groups
- Ensures the positioning of group is relevant by meeting user needs
- Stokes continuous desire to commit to the group as well as build inherent trust that will in turn propel more sharing (greater virality): group member testimonials and word of mouth over other forms of social media


*Requirements:
- Fluent in English is a must
- Proficient in managing Whatsapp/Facebook Messenger groups is a must, experience in other messaging platforms such as LINE/WeChat/Kakao Talk/Zalo etc in a business capacity is an added bonus
- At least 1.5 years of work experience in a community group operations role that manages at least 10,000 users
- Can work under relatively little supervision but also highly competent in interacting with remote colleagues
- Strong desire to implement "social learning" for autonomous language learning apps like ELSA
- Hungry, reliable, driven and inquisitive - can handle tight deadlines and withstand an appropriate amount of pressure
- Previous track record of running online activities and managing content
