Role: Mid Level Data Engineer

Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Manila

Known as one of the world's fastest growing FX brokers, this Australia-based online Forex and CFD Broker provide clients the technology to access the global trading market.

The Role:
As a Data Engineer, you will promote - through code and interactions with others - high-quality software patterns and practices that in turn result in reliable and maintainable applications and infrastructure. Furthermore, you will work with the team to plan and deliver data platform services that facilitate the rapid deployment of Business Intelligence and Data Science Upgrade to see actual info fulfilling your responsibilities, you will learn from, and provide advice to, key stakeholders. Your advice will be based on your expertise on matters such as data formats, data lake design, and big data technologies.

Skills and Requirements:
An experienced Software Engineer with at least 3 years experience specialising in Data
Working knowledge of Go Language, Python, or Scala
General Data Architecture knowledge such as Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and related technologies and concepts
Understanding of DevOps principles and practice – Terraform, CI/CD, Build-kite
Provisioning AWS services to support product deployment
Strong in fundamental programming techniques and concepts (OOP Patterns, TDD, functional programming concepts, algorithms and data structures, distributed computing)
Docker and related container-orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes)
Strong experience in Agile development
Exposure Microservices Architecture, REST APIs development
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to present to and influence different levels of stakeholders
Previous experience in trading platforms is highly preferred
