Intermediate Architect

URBN Design, is seeking an Intermediate Architect/Designer to work in a collaborative team mainly focused in the design and development of contemporary commercial and multifamily projects.

The Intermediate Architect/Designer will assist the Principle and Project Managers in developing designs and construction documents for a mix of projects including retail, mid-rise, office and mixed-use.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Visit project sites and document the existing conditions of the site including available utilities.

· Complete zoning and building code reviews

· Develop preliminary floor plans, elevations and renderings to obtain approval from the client and government entities

· Develop drawings through all phases from schematic design to construction documents.

· Work with engineering consultants to ensure documents are coordinated between all disciplines

· Work with AHJ to determine all submissions required to obtain permit approval

· Construction Administration including site visits, shop drawing and submittal reviews, and punch list development.

Qualifications and Skills

· AutoCAD and Revit advance proficiency is required

· At least 4 years of professional architectural experience

· Multifamily and commercial experience preferred

· Ability to work on multiple diverse projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work and coordinate with Consulting Engineers including MPE, Structural, and Civil Engineers

· Ability to work independently
