Job Description

The Meyers Emergency Management team is looking for a Junior Emergency Management Specialist (Virtual) who will work specifically in our Healthcare vertical. Successful applicants will be timely, eager to learn, willing to work as a team, and willing to face the challenge of helping our clients prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of disasters.

**Important note to all applicants: Our company focuses specifically on emergencies and disasters. Occasionally, you may be asked to work odd hours, longer than normal hours, or throughout holidays and/or weekends if there is a major disaster our company is responding to. While not frequent, these responses are critical to our business and will require your flexibility. You will be compensated for emergency response activities that are above and beyond your normal job Upgrade to see actual infomon daily tasks:
• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining Emergency Operations Plans
• Preparing exercises as prescribed in the United States HSEEP format.
• Work directly with clients to address needs in emergency and disaster management
• Respond to customer inquiries relating to emergency and disaster management.
• Sales of emergency management goods and services

Skills & Knowledge
• Proficient with common Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiar with Calendly scheduling software
• Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics 365 Sales CRM
• Familiar with document management software, including Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft OneDrive, and Adobe Acrobat/AdobeSign.
• Superior command of the English language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Experience Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Emergency Management
• Documented experience writing and/or curating Emergency Operations Plans (EOP) or Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP).
• Documented training and/or experience in operational Emergency and Disaster Management

Preferred experience/credentials (not required)
• CEM or AEM designation from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM)
• Working knowledge and/or experience with U.S. Based emergency management practices
• Working knowledge and/or experience working with Hospital IUpgrade to see actual info Command System (HICS)

General notes about the position
• This will be a full time, salaried position with strong potential for advancement within the company.
• For training, education, and orientation purposes, the candidate must be available during normal United States Business hours (for example, 9am-5pm Eastern Standard Time, or 8am-4pm, EST) for the first month. After the first month, candidate will be expected to work 8 hours per day on a flexible schedule during normal business hours (7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 9am-5pm Local time).
• We are expecting a 40 hour work week, with some off-hours and/or emergency work, due to the nature of our company. Time over 40 hours will be compensated appropriately – either by way of additional vacation days, adjusted work schedules, or additional compensation – whatever is the best fit for the situation.
• The “13th month” will be honored
• All traditional Filipino holidays and leave requirements (e.g. maternity leave, sick leave, etc.) will be honored as paid time off after 3 months of employment.
• Vacation will be accrued at 80 hours per year. Vacation cannot be used during the first 3 months of employment – once you are eligible to begin using vacation, you will have 20 hours of vacation available for use. The remaining 60 hours will be accrued at 6.67 hours per month. Maximum number of vacation hours accrued is 160 hours. Time accrued beyond 160 hours will be lost and not paid.
• For the first 12 weeks, we will pay a weekly salary. After that time, we will switch to monthly or biweekly payments, as preferred by the employee.
