JOB OVERVIEW

I own a software company that is launching a “Next Generation” online productivity software that allows people to get a lot more done quicker and more effectively. We are looking for someone who can work with us full-time and who would grow with us with regular salary increases as we grow bigger.

Please submit your resume along with 3-5 of your best samples of articles, blog posts or press releases you have written.

There are 5 things we are looking for:

1) EXCELLENT ENGLISH
Only apply if your English skills are of the highest levels and you can write concisely.

2) THE “IT FACTOR”
- how well you write eye-catching, compelling easy-to-understand copy with a lot of personality. Your writing has to have a “human element,” and not just be churned out. Plain and simply it needs a “style.” It needs that “something extra”. Does it evoke curiosity? Does it inform? Does it stir an emotion? Does it move readers? Does it tell a story? Does it possibly make them laugh or cry? Ultimately . . . does your writing make people want to read further and to know more so they click on a link or buy a product? Please include samples of your skills. Even if you’ve never written a press release before, your article writing samples should make us want to hire you anyway.

3) SEO
Being an expert at SEO would be highly desirable. But if you are a good enough writer, we can train you. However, if you are experienced at SEO, describe your process for incorporating it and publicizing your articles, blog posts and press releases.

4) PRICING
Your prices must be reasonable enough for us to be able to pay for your full-time services as we launch and for your salary to increase as we grow over the next months and years.

5) COMPATIBILITY
Your personal style needs to fit our down-to-earth, non-academic, sometimes irreverent, and always warm and engaging look, feel and approach to life and business.

If your skills and personality match the high standards of what we're looking for, we are looking forward to speaking with you!
