JOB OVERVIEW

Background:
Rocket Doctor is a company focused on providing superior telehealth services through a web-based HIPAA / PIPEDA compliant virtual-care platform with goals to produce enhanced care by integrating AI / ML clinical decision support systems and diagnostic tools such as portable ultrasound.

In less than a year since launching the company, Rocket Doctor has provided care to more than 11000 patients across Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and California. We’re looking for an extremely organized, bright, ambitious, hard-working business professional to help further accelerate our growth.

TITLE: Patient Care Coordinator

DESCRIPTION:
The primary objective of the patient care coordinator is to ensure that patients are properly attended to and assisted throughout their journey through the Rocket Doctor system.
The patient care coordinator must assist the patient in any informational or administrative issues that they may come in contact with.
The patient care coordinator owns all aspects of the patient journey. They are responsible for answering questions, interpreting responses, and evaluating improvements based on their experience with their patient’s needs.
The patient care coordinator must primarily support the patient’s journey while at the same time taking part in process improvement initiatives. They must be able to act autonomously, with minimal supervision, executing tasks based on company directives and goals under fast-paced timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Be extremely organized, positive, and uplifting. The patient care coordinator is the second face of the company (after the website / sign-up app)!
Excellent verbal communication skills is a must [C2(Advanced/Mastery) preferred]
Proper patient intake / after appointment coordination
Proper execution of emerging patient roadblocks and challenges
Proactive management of the patient journey
Knowledge of EMR and privacy requirements in the Canada/USA (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA)
Business and tech-savvy acumen
Engagement with the product development team for process improvement initiatives
Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all patients & MD correspondence
Support cross-functional projects relating to but not directly supported by the patient intake team
Ability to work with confidential company information.
Be flexible with your available workday/times. Overnight work might be required due to the time difference.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Patient Care, Public Health
Minimum of 2 years related experience
Customer care industry experience
Experience within the healthcare and/or cloud computing industries is desired
Basic mathematical and computer skills
Google & Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with and improving standard procedures & processes
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and interact with new systems/ procedures
Presentation experience
Strong interpersonal skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Assist patients in the USA / Canada.
Must be able to adequately perform the above duties with reasonable accommodation.
Requirements to be adjusted quarterly.
Must have a stable internet connection and a quiet place to work.
Must be residing in Metro Manila.
