The Manufacturing Project Manager's primary role is to work with the management and the sales team to coordinate and make improvements to ongoing production lines, R&D, and new production projects outreach. This role includes managing ongoing and new projects as they arise as we continuously get inquiries from clients for new custom products in the fields of plastics and electronics.
The successful applicant will be a person who can match or exceed the desired traits, skills and abilities outlined below and has ideally a background in some engineering field as well as client coordination.
General characteristics: Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a number of variables. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position or equivalent graduate-level education BSC Minimum.
Directions received: Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. Also has the ability to work alone with minimal supervision to manage projects independently.
Typical duties and responsibilities: Performs work that involves conventional types of concept files, design files (such as CAD design files, PCB layouts), or reference products with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Assignments usually include one or more of the following: design and development, selection of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific narrow area of assignments in plastics and
1. To perform professional work design, testing, compatibility, analysis, planning and implementation of manufacturing projects
2. To have or quickly develop an excellent understanding of basic manufacturing principles
3. Demonstrate the ability to research available products, materials, tools or equipment, in terms of their suitability for product installation, safety, compliance, process improvement or cost savings.
4. Have the ability to assess the impact of potential changes, improvements or modifications to all elements of the manufacturing process from supply chain to finished product. Be able to "Road Map" engineering or product changes.
5. Ability to identify, analyze and correct non-conformance or quality issues by developing appropriate solutions with the help of others
6. Demonstrate the ability to process information from multiple sources and make appropriate decisions and recommendations based on that data.
7. To have the experience to produce reports, schedules and summaries relating to this role
8. Have the ability to stay focused and deliver tasks and projects in an efficient and timely manner.
9. Use good interpersonal skills and engineering experience to achieve goals in a timely
1. Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or 5 years of recent manufacturing/other project management experience
2. Project management & manufacturing skillscertifications may be an advantage
3. Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools
4. Great proficiency in English that allows to write detailed
5. Any skills in manufacturing design software (CAD etc.) is a big plus
