Web Developer / Graphic designer

KOMFFY LLC is a fast-growing company active in the hospitality business in North America. We are currently seeking to hire an experienced WordPress Developer.
The ideal candidate has a strong design and front-end development skills along with communication and time management skills. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for executing design work and websites from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

• - Conceptualize creative ideas, gather feedback to refine website design.
• - Design visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with company branding.
• - Test sites for responsive issues and reporting issues.
• - Establish design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
• - Maintain the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
• - Incorporate functionalities and features into websites.
• - Design sample pages including colors and fonts.
• - Prepare design plans and presenting the website structure.
• - Developing responsive sites for multiple devices and interactions: desktops, and touch devices like smartphones and tablets.

Qualifications & Skills:

• - A related degree or diploma is an asset.
• - Minimum of 2+ years of experience.
• - Possess a passion for web design, web-related technologies, and delivering optimal user experience.
• - Understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, site architecture, and navigation.
• - Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (WordPress).
• - Excellent visual design skills.
• - Proficient understanding of SEO (search engine optimization) principles.
• - Ability to create and produce strong conceptual designs.
• - Demonstrated command of responsive site design.
• - Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• - Past experience in the hospitality industry such as hotels, Airbnb, HomeAway is a strong asset.

Other Requirements :

• - Willingness to work on ongoing, inherited projects as well as new projects.
• - Willingness to ask for clarification if instructions are unclear.
• - High-speed internet connection.
• - Ongoing, daily email, and/or Skype communication.
• - Must invoice us weekly, payments based on invoices.
• - Must be able to accept payment via Easypay, Transferwise or PayPal
• - A positive attitude, good communication skills and timely responsiveness to email and Skype queries will be key to your success in this position.
