JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Managing Editor for our website to help build an editorial department comprised of in-house writers, as well as a network of external PH-based freelance contributors.

The Managing Editor will be responsible for

1. Managing the Editorial calendar and daily editorial production.
2. Recruiting, managing and commissioning content from freelance contributors.
3. Ensuring and editing the work product of the freelancers contributors as a “hands on" writer/editor with strong attention paid to detail and process.

Content creation will be focused on publishing a large number of structured, educational guides as well as publishing multiple daily news summary articles on an array of given topics to be posted daily in accordance with the editorial calendar.

?Experience:
* Background or degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in print and/or online publishing
* Project Management and coordination skill set
* Excellent writing and editing skills, including an eye for grammar and spelling
* Proficiency with Wordpress
* Ability to collaborate on a daily basis with management, contributors and team.
* Proficiency in English
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Reliability and efficiency
* Attention to detail
