Business Intelligence / Data Analyst

This role requires advanced Excel skills and a passion for data manipulation and visualization. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will use this advanced skillset to build datasets and reports for operation teams so they can quickly get the answers they need to make important business decisions. To succeed in this role you will need to - at a minimum - demonstrate advanced skills with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets formulas.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A DATA ANALYST:
• Responding to internal users via internal ticketing solution.
• Building dashboards or reports based on data that is readily available.
• Utilizing Business Intelligence software to build said dashboards, and using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets as a fallback.
• Requesting datasets from Data Engineering teams when the data is not readily available.
• Holding your deliverables to the absolute highest standards in terms of accuracy, quality, functionality, and visual appeal
• Skilling up through learning MYSQL and Data modeling so you can reach the next level in your BI career.
The fundamental responsibility is: Operation team sends us a ticket detailing what they want; we build a dataset.

REQUIREMENTS:
This is a remote position, so you’ll need a reliable:
• Internet connection, computer, and microphone
• Back up plan in case of power outages or hurricanes

Additionally, you will need:
• Business level English
• Experience with data
-- To be hired you will need to demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets.
-- Words like TRANSPOSE, VLOOKUP, PIVOT, REGEX, ARRAYFORMULA, SUMIFS, and TRUNC(COUNT(FILTER($A$3:$A,$B$3:$B=$K3,$F$3:$F=L$2,$C$3:$C>=$C$1,$D$3:$D>=$D$1))*$J$4) should look natural, easy, exciting, and appealing to you.
-- This role DOES NOT provide training to help you meet minimum requirements. But DOES provide resources to help you grow into more advanced roles. Expect startup culture.
• You must have an eye for Upgrade to see actual infoaccuracies due to chronic lack of attention to detail is not permissible. Of course some mistakes are permitted and we have a culture of growing from our mistakes.
• Required Availability:
-- Weekdays 40 hours per week: 8:00am - 5:00pm PHT. 1 hour lunch. Holiday schedule to be negotiated.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLSETS THAT WILL INCREASE COMPENSATION:
• Ability to demonstrate light coding skills, like mySQL or Python
• Ability to demonstrate experience with BI tools
• Ability to demonstrate experience with Data Modeling
