JOB OVERVIEW

We are a specialized WordPress agency located in Stockholm Sweden, a small remote team that is looking for another developer for a part-time position (2-3 days per week initially and potentially full-time down the road). The work consists of doing custom WordPress development, which can be small tickets from our clients requesting a minor adjustment on a site, ranging all the way up to completely creating an advanced custom theme from scratch from a design file. All kinds of work, but all related to WP development either on new projects or existing sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

- EXCELLENT knowledge of WordPress custom theme building and plugin development. You NEED to know how to create your own custom themes of very advanced level and develop plugins.
- EXCELLENT knowledge in PHP and Javascript. Simply knowing how to do some PHP modifications and use jQuery plugins is NOT enough.
- EXCELLENT knowledge of modern CSS/SCSS standards.
- Good knowledge and experience working with GIT
- Basic familiarity with build systems such as gulp/grunt/webpack
- Very good written english

What we are NOT looking for:

- If you have mainly worked on ready-made themes from themeforest etc then you are NOT the person for this job.
- If you consider custom WP development to be creating a child-theme for Divi or something similar, then you are NOT the person for this job.
- If you normally use Elementor/Divi/Visual composer etc and claim to know WP, then you are NOT the person for this job.
- If you are used to using Boostrap for every theme you develop and cannot put together an advanced responsive layout without it, then you are NOT the person for this job.

The above statements might sound harsh but we do premium custom development for high-end clients, and we adhere to WordPress best practice and coding standards. We require proper knowledge of modern SCSS techniques since most of the designs we get are often cutting edge and require excellent skills in both front-end and back-end.

If you are applying for this job, please try and include a link to some previous work (actual code from a WP theme). Because the first thing we will want when screening a potential candidate will be to review some of your previous code. So please include a link to part of a WP theme that you have created, this will speed up the process and increase your chances.
