JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing marketing agency focused on Ecommerce in need of a Copywriter who can connect with our customer base through multiple gnpqsekv. Ix this role, you’ll be responsible for creating marketing materials, product descriptions, paid advertising campaigns, website pages, video copy, social media, blog communications and direct response emails.

We work in a fast-paced market that occasionally requires irregular work hours and quick turnarounds, so flexibility is critical for the success of this position.

You will write in our brand voice, balancing personality with clear, easy-to-understand language. You will be looked at as an expert on messaging across multiple platforms. We’re looking for someone who can switch their approach easily as they work directly with different members in the team including the VP of Creative, sales and product and CEO.

Your Day to Day
1) Develop content across a wide variety of channels including email, blog, social media and product pages
2) Support senior creative leadership with content.
3) Collaborate with other creatives, and marketers to ensure omni-channel alignment (Online, Direct, Indirect).
4) Own copywriting for assigned device specifically taglines, why buys, detail page headlines, digital ads, and retail pages—while adhering to an authentic brand voice.
5) Work closely with product marketing, brand creation, and site merchants for supportive copy needs

Basic Qualifications
1) 1-3 years copywriting experience within digital/ecommerce – or a proven digital writing background
2) Proven ability to apply a consistent brand voice to brand work across multiple digital-based channels
3) Knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing best practices
4) Portfolio of samples showcasing exceptional digital writing work
5) Direct Response experience

Preferred Qualifications
1) Critical thinker and communicator who works well with cross-functional teams; can present copy best practices and defend messaging choices
2) Demonstrated ability to influence and affect customer perceptions and behavior with compelling stories.
3) Willing to learn how to present to all levels within the organization in both written and verbal communication
4) Proven ability to adapt writing to various consumer audiences and products
5) User-experience-first messaging approach and ability to apply a strategic lens to writing
6) Ability to learn and master the specific process and tools required for daily work
7) Desire and ability to work within a weekly publishing timeline
8) Strong copyediting and proofreading skills
9) Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
10) Advertising or marketing background, preferably with experience working with ecommerce stores
