Overview of Accounting Assistant role.

BioPak is a system and process based business generating significant volumes of data that is thoroughly analysed to assist with cost savings and for making business decisions.

The Accounting Analyst responsible for data matching across transport and warehouse activity changes as well as stock data analysis.

We are looking to find a person `who is extremely efficient and effective at manipulating data along with analysing and interpreting this data to ensure the company is being correctly charged by suppliers. We expect the successful application to deliver business intelligent insights to improve business decisions and early alerts to trends are flagged.

The role also requires accounting skills for reconciliations, analysis, capture and comparison.

The role requires a person with exceptionally strong data manipulation capability as well as extremely strong excel skilsl.

Role Responsibility:
? Daily bank reconciliations (selected accounts)
? Weekly courier / transport checking - analysis of csv files received against ERP system data
? Monthly warehouse checking - analysis of csv files against ERP system data
? Resolving queries arising from month-end checking with suppliers
? Effective communication of issues and escalation as required
? Oversee & assist with the capture invoices
? Month-end accruals
? Report preparation with insights
? Price checking
? Margin analysis

Skills and Requirements:
? Willing to work in is a fast paced and constantly changing environment
? Extremely fast learner
? Experience with logistics, shipping and 3PL an advantage
? understand cubic cubic charging in the shipping industry.
? Varying models of charging in the freight industry, you will be expected to learn these so that you can evaluate charges, and differences to determine if they need to be queried.
? you will need to quickly understand the billing models used so you can check and evaluate.
? Advanced excel skills
? As a minimum advanced knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups as well as complicated formulas.
? Data analysis skills
? Experience with Power BI
? Strong English writing skills
? Strong English verbal communication skills and a good communicator.
? Enjoy the challenge of number / data manipulation
? Comfortable with routine and repetitive analysis
? Strong analytical thinker
? Ability to understand and interpret data
? A curious mind that needs to understand data matched with the ability to evaluate and analyse until logical explanations backed with data / facts.

BioPak is extremely technology focused to ensure that anything that can be managed by systems are, so that people can focus on areas that only people can do. You will need to be extremely comfortable in the use of technology.

We use cloud-based business process systems (NetSuite) and Google Apps to manage communication and file sharing.
