DESCRIPTION

Please read the entire job description, as there are special instructions located herein, that must be followed to be considered for our developer positions. We are looking at expanding our Filipino team and we are in need of an experienced Web Developer. Must have a proven track record for producing good code.

We are looking for a PHP Developer who is dedicated to the craft, writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running. A PHP Developer writes beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write “clean”, well-designed code
• Produce detailed specifications
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
• Developing front-end interfaces

REQUIREMENTS
• Proven software development experience in PHP & HTML5
• Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, etc
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance (Depending on the specific project)
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
• Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or documented job experiences if no degree

We pay twice a month, on the 5th (1st through 15th time period) and 20th (15th through last day of the month time period) of the month, currently through TransferWise.
