JOB OVERVIEW

Happy New Year! I am looking for a responsible remote worker who is capable of assisting me immediately, and who will quickly grow into managing significant portions of my ecommerce business. You will work on a one-to-one basis with me on a variety of tasks, work directly with customers, and at times with suppliers.

At Northbooks, we craft notebooks and journals that our customers recognize as high quality, minimalist in design, eco-conscious, and a pleasure to use.

This job is a full time position. Hours during initial training weeks may require some night shifts. Within a few months we can settle into a schedule with at least 2 hours of workday overlap with GMT -5 US Eastern/Central time, or about 12 hours behind Manila time.

I'm looking for someone with a positive attitude who is detail oriented, a great communicator, and who is willing and able to learn and grow.

Reliability is an absolute must! Do not apply if you are not prepared to commit to a long term position.

REQUIREMENTS

- excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- responsive: you check communications often and respond to questions immediately
- 1 year of experience with Amazon FBA
- 2 years experience with written customer service
- 2 years experience as a remote worker
- full time = you will work solely with Northbooks and cease all work with other clients
- Strong capabilities in working with spreadsheets + desire to learn and improve
- experience writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- able to quickly master online tools and applications (i.e. Slack, Notion, Google Docs, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, ClickUp)
- outstanding organizational and time management skills
- not afraid to speak up and to make recommendations, point out problems; a proactive communicator

EXAMPLES of TASKS:

- timely, courteous, and professional customer support over email, Amazon, Facebook, and other platforms
- adopt a systems mindset, write thorough Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- keyword research and implementing changes for improved results
- manage and respond to product reviews
- schedule meetings, take professional notes, distribute notes
- inventory management and shipping
- respond to and follow up with new business inquiries
- maintain projects and tasks across the team; project manage production runs with suppliers
- update online content
- create, maintain, and improve spreadsheets
- support online marketing efforts

This role will start ASAP. The first 3 months will serve as the probation period. During the first month, we will establish goals for you to accomplish. Then we will review your progress and team fit at the end of month 3.
