We need Technical Consultant/Guru

Award winning Cloud Technology Consulting firm in Sydney Australia is looking for a Technical Consultant/Guru to help assist implementing and managing our marketing projects and operations. We have been operating in Sydney, Australia for 7 years and have a strong industry presence and are looking to work with someone with a strong understanding of current trends around cloud computing and small business.

We are a technology-forward business and knowledge of modern content marketing as well as fundamental understandings of SEO, podcasting, web development etc. is essential. We are seeking a full-time Technical Guru to work directly with our Managing Director to project manage and oversee technical projects across varied technologies. Your key responsibility will be the successful management of our online systems.

This role will be VARIED in tasks, spanning primarily technical execution and implementation of marketing and business management software and data.

When presented with something new or a technology you don't know, you will need to have an attitude of 'I will find out'. You'll need to be resourceful in working support desks, online research and peers to help solve problems in your role.

Key Projects will Be:
- Managing multiple 'technical' elements and areas in our business covering web development, app connections and integrations, fixing 'sync' issues etc.
- Management of Wordpress website updates, changes, plugin installation, landing page builds etc.
- Integration and management of syncing data between online accounting systems
- Data manipulation and graph presentations using Google Sheets and Pivot Tables
- Managing the buildout of technical elements in our 'funnel' like landing pages, email sequences, product launches and webinars etc.
- Assisting with Facebook advertising campaign management
- Producing reports on marketing activities as well as ROI and results of campaigns
- Lightweight API-based app integrations (using 'connector' tools like Zapier/Workato/IFTTT)
- Gsuite Automation and Scripting

Success in this role will require working knowledge of the following technology (and the ability to quickly learn any tools you're not already familiar with):
- Webinars (we use GotoWebinar)
- Email autoresponders (we use Infusionsoft)
- Landing pages (we use Leadpages)
- Blogging and content management etc. (we use Wordpress)
- Cloud software integration (we use Zapier)
- Spreadsheets (we use Google Sheets/Google Apps)
- Google Data Studio

Prior experience required for this role (you will be asked to substantiate this):
- 3+ years in IT, technical support or web development role
- Very strong technical operational skills
- Strong ability to work autonomously and to be self-resourceful
- Strong experience in learning new tools and 'reading the manual' or 'googling the answer' to meet objectives
- Passion for technology (we're geeks and your role is going to be the super-geek in our company).

It will be extremely advantageous for you to have an interest and experience in:
- Working in the cloud (i.e. working in the browser) and how that is changing business
- Small businesses (i.e. up 1-30 employees)
- Google Technology (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive etc.)

The current role will be full-time primarily during Australian business hours (however we allow flexible work) and we are looking to build a relationship with someone who can help our business succeed over a long term.
