Junior/Mid Level Rails Programmer with web scraping experience

I have 2 projects that need the help of an eager, talented programmer.

1) The first application involves fairly complex business logic in Rails. You will need to have experience with HTML, CSS, and ideally web scraping. The platform uses Sidekiq and does an ETL pipeline. At the end of this, you’ll be an expert on extracting data from the web and building scalable, high throughput web systems.

The Rails application provides a standard API to a React application. So, you’ll gain experience in API management and interacting with React as well.

2) The second app is a bot creation/messaging platform that connects via SMS/MMS and Facebook Messenger. The app is used by nonprofits to help with various projects. While mostly done and in maintenance mode, we still provide ongoing support and improvements for this platform.

We are looking for a full-time person. If you’ve got another gig, or aren’t willing to work full time, please don’t apply.

We are looking for a long term person to add to an existing small team.
