JOB OVERVIEW

Assemble and manage a VA team to:

MAINTAIN RECORDS/BOOKKEEPING
• Update tenant records and coordinate with Housing Director to develop reporting system
• Ensure leases are submitted on a timely basis and review for completeness
• Calculate monthly income
• Create invoices for monthly rent
• Accurately track if rent has been collected and actively follow up with tenants regarding unpaid charges or overdue rent
• Track operating expenses
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
• Communicate with Housing Director and other staff to determine maintenance needs
• Hire extra help as needed - research on plumbers, electricians, and handymen; make any necessary phone calls to reach out and ask questions on our behalf or find pricing information; and make necessary hiring decisions to get your properties fixed.
OUTREACH/MARKETING
• Design marketing materials and manage distribution
• Press release and public relations
• Social media, web development and brand management
• Create memos and coordinate fundraising activities

Required skills: Excellent customer service, professional verbal and written communication, ability to follow up, give direction, and report to CEO and CFO. MUST HAVE experience with property management software such as Appfolio, Buildium or Rent Manager.
